What does hosting a workplace visit involve?
Hosting a visit involves giving classes or small groups the opportunity to visit your workplace and see how it functions. These visits can include tours, hands-on activities, presentations and a chance for the pupils to question employees. Primary School pupils visit workplaces during Work Week and iDiscover, whereas Secondary students take part in visits which are relevant to their studies.
What will your organisation gain?
Inviting young people into your workplace is not only a fun way to give back, it can also have a positive impact on your business.
Hosting a workplace visit can help you broaden your reach in the local area, as well as develop employees’ experience of working with young people. Your organisation can also demonstrate corporate social responsibility through its commitment to the local community.
