Permanent, full-time (37 hours per week)

About the roles
Our Secondary team delivers a wide range of work-related programmes in schools across Hackney and neighbouring boroughs, to equip young people with essential skills and the confidence they need to enter the world of work.
As a Programme Officer, you will be responsible for a small portfolio of secondary school relationships, acting as a key point of liaison between schools and employers, to ensure our programmes are delivered to agreed schedules.
Whether you’re arranging work placements and employer visits, or running social action projects and careers networking sessions; you will proactively recruit a range of employers, providing support and guidance to ensure high standards of delivery.
Adapting our delivery for students with a range of additional needs will be key, as well as working with employers to tailor our programmes effectively.
You will also deliver engaging briefing sessions and gather feedback from students and employers alike, working with both parties to ensure the smooth delivery of our programmes from start to finish.
About you
Qualified to degree level (or equivalent) and with previous experience working with 11 to 19-year olds, you are passionate about enabling all young people to access vital work-related experiences.
A natural collaborator with excellent communication skills, you enjoy interacting with a range of people and can maintain positive working relationships with everyone you work with.
With excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail, you are confident in managing multiple deadlines and able to coordinate the work of others in the team.
You are also aware of the current secondary school landscape and a range of equalities issues, able to demonstrate sensitivity to a variety of different needs.
You’ll ideally be familiar with behaviour management strategies too, with an adaptable approach to your work and a ‘can-do’ attitude.
This is a great opportunity for outgoing and resourceful individuals to help a growing education charity to deliver its secondary school programmes.
The closing date for applications is noon on Friday 10th January 2020.
Interviews are due to take place in the week commencing 13th January 2020.
