£27,000 to £29,000 per annum (dependent on experience) plus 5% employer’s pension contribution

Full-time (37 hours per week)

About the role

Our Delivery Team facilitates a wide range of work-related programmes in schools across Hackney and neighbouring boroughs, to equip young people with essential skills and the confidence they need to enter the world of work.

As Programme Manager, you will oversee the design and delivery of our secondary school activities, including our highly popular work experience programme, managing the work of the team to ensure we meet ambitious employer engagement targets and provide a positive experience for all involved.

You will lead our relationships with secondary schools, listening to their needs and ensuring we deliver high-quality programmes to complement and enhance their existing careers’ activities.

Whether you’re recruiting new employers to host work experience, leading in-school workshops or delivering engaging training sessions to volunteers; you’ll proactively seek opportunities to make our secondary programmes as impactful as possible.

Adapting our delivery for students with a range of additional needs will be key, and you’ll be confident in supporting employers to tailor our programmes effectively.

About you

Qualified to degree level (or equivalent) and with previous experience designing and delivering programmes for young people, you are passionate about helping young people to access vital work-related experiences.

Highly organised and with a track record of managing successful projects, you are confident in managing multiple deadlines and leading the work of others.

You’re a natural collaborator, with a ‘can-do’ attitude and you enjoy interacting with a range of people, using your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to maintain positive working relationships.

You’re also aware of a range of equalities issues, able to adapt your approach and demonstrate sensitivity to a variety of different needs.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced project manager to help an innovative education charity to deliver its secondary school programmes.
