Inspire! announces new Chair of Trustees

The Inspire! team would like to say goodbye and thank you to our Chair of Trustees, Emma West, who has stepped down this month.

Emma has made an enormous contribution to our work, first as a supporter, then as a trustee and as our Chair over many years. During her tenure, the organisation has seen significant change and development, including the growth of our programmes in new areas and the creation and development of the Inspired Directions School, whose board she has also chaired so effectively.

Having strong and effective governance in place is critical for any charity, particularly during times of change. As Chair, Emma has provided inspirational leadership, wise counsel, support and stability as well as being a strong advocate for our work. She will be greatly missed by all at Inspire! and the Inspired Directions School and we wish her well and every success with her next steps.

We are however, very fortunate that Matt Sparkes, Head of Corporate Responsibility at Linklaters is stepping into Emma’s shoes as our new Chair. Matt has also been a tremendous supporter of our work as a trustee and valued partner over many years and is a very worthy successor. We look forward to working with Matt over the coming years!
