Inspire's Dragons Den cover image, four dragons and title

Everyone is familiar with BBC’s Dragon’s Den, but you haven’t seen an episode like this before?

As part of our Work Week programme, a week-long work-related learning experience we deliver to Primary Schools, Year 6 pupils have the theme of business and enterprise for the week.

Inspire - Four lawyers from Katten who volunteered to be Dragons

Via lesson plans and resources we supply, teachers take their class through a learning experience that helps the children learn about good teamwork, collaboration, confidence and public speaking.

In groups, they come up with a product and a brand, develop a business plan and a pitch for it. In the week they are visited by a professional with strong public speaking and presenting skills in a presentation skills workshop.

On Friday the week culminates with a pitch to some Dragons at a big corporation or firm.

In this episode, groups from two Year 6 classes at Morningside Primary School in Hackney, go to make their pitches to the Dragons at law firm Katten.

They were competing in three categories – Best Investment, Best Presentation and Best Teamwork.

Special thanks to Morningside Primary School and all the children, who all did extremely well with their pitches.

Special thanks to the team at Katten for hosting us and in particular to our dragons…
