Government’s new Careers Strategy unveiled: Inspire!’s response

The government unveiled a new Career Strategy last month, outlining plans to boost careers advice and guidance provision.  The Strategy introduces new guidelines as well as a £4 million support fund for schools and colleges.  

Inspire! welcomes the government’s emphasis on high-quality careers guidance for social mobility. The report sets out a vision for "a stronger, fairer society in which people from all backgrounds can realise their potential." This reflects the vision that guides our work: empowering young people to reach their full potential, realise their ambitions and build fulfilling careers and lives.

After-school STEMM club inspires career pathways

Inspire! have been encouraging a new generation of scientists, engineers, medics and more as part of Young Hackney’s Inspiring careers pathways programme.

Through a range of interactive activities, the new programme raises awareness of these rapidly developing industries outside of school hours, helping young Hackney residents to raise their aspirations and develop important skills.

100 young Hackney residents get set for work

Inspire! has been appointed to deliver a unique paid work placement scheme for local young people, in partnership with Hackney Council. Drawing on our connections with local schools, colleges and youth centres, we will be responsible for recruiting and preparing young people to take part in the programme.
