Harley's talent to the fore

Talented young musician, Harley Von Haidenthaler is proving that she really could be a star of the future.

The 15 year-old, has been working with Inspire!’s engagement team in recent months and we first became aware of her musical gift when she shone at a hip hop session on our Summer Project.

The teenager has recently spent a day a week, over a six-week period, doing a music course at Sound Solutions recording studio in Mare Street.

Led by professional musicians and music teachers, the course enabled Harley to gain an accredited National Open College Network qualification in Developing Technical Skills for a Performance.

Demonstrating an all-round ability, Harley wrote the music and lyrics for a song, sang and played guitar on the track which she recorded at the studio.

Part of the project was observed by an Ofsted inspector who said: “This is a very exciting course. I would I could stay and listen all day.”

We are all very proud of Harley.
